Notice of death
A public notice of the person’s death or the time and place of the funeral in a newspaper or on internet memorial websites (e.g. muistollesi.fi). Members of the Finnish Association of Funeral Services help in planning the death announcement and forward the announcements to newspapers if the relatives so wish. The electronic death notification website Muistollesi.fi is intended as an independent service covering the whole country, where the relatives can, if they wish, publish a picture of the deceased and information on the date of birth and death, as well as a traditional death notification. Registration on the Muistollesi.fi website is free of charge for customers of member stores of the Association of Funeral Homes of Finland.
